Summer Fashion has arrived!
This season, summer fashion makes a welcome return to looks that celebrate femininity and natural beauty.
The two most dominant looks for Summer 2008/2009 are Florals and Classic Black & White. These two looks are inspriation for the mainstream summer fashion collections of our Australian designers.
Swing into flowers!
Flowers are everywhere and is by far the most dominant look for the summer season. From prettiest pastels to bold retro colour, flowers are blooming on everything. You will see florals on the flowing fabrics of maxi dresses and the shorter empired styles to mini dresses and accessories.
Cruise into black & white!
Black & white traditionally suggests a more structured fashion look, however the revitalised 2008/2009 look extends right through bold patterns to floral prints. Four key looks that are summer must haves include the flowing maxi dress, tailored dresses and suit styles, stripe tops and fabulous hats!

BETTS
For the Ladies
Betts, an Australian fashion retailer, offers contemporary, on trend styles featuring stacked wooden heels, wedges, platforms and must have gladiator flats. Betts’ Spring Summer 2009 is no season for shrinking violets – contrast detail and patent leather is key with floral, bright pops of coral, orange, pinks and metallics put side by side the season’s natural tones of tan, black and soft grey giving the collection a sophisticated, feminine edge. Elegant peep toe pumps are the perfect partner to summer’s tailored dresses. Animal prints remain a strong focus, while the wedge emerges this season with an open square toe and contrast to detail.

Betts offers contemporary, sophisticated on trend styles featuring European influences – quality leather slides, loafers, square toe brogues, boots and casual old school trainers.
